Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the foundation of philanthropy at FXW – our largest and most broad-based fundraising effort. Participation in the Annual Fund is frequently used as a benchmark of a community’s strength, making support at any level especially powerful – and our top priority. Annual giving is the best possible way for current parents, former parents, trustees, founders, alumni and friends to make a difference in the ongoing life of FXW. Each year, gifts to the Annual Fund allow us to bring key initiatives to life, which contribute so much to our success. These initiatives have included:

• Competitive compensation for our faculty.
• The design and construction of the Imagination Station.
• The inter-campus FXW Broadcast System — a first among Chicago private and public schools.
• Enrichment programs and services, such as our Early Intervention Team, and the expansion of our world language curriculum.
• Faculty Professional Development.

Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of an FXW education. The Annual Fund supplements the difference between tuition income and the cost of running a school like FXW. We count on Annual Fund gifts to attract and retain our fabulous faculty, keep classes small, expand our academic offerings for students and maintain our leadership position on the cutting edge of academic technology.
