The students will share a short final performance for parents and friends on the last day of class.

*Due to enrollment interest there is a capacity of 20 students and a minimum of 5 students. Therefore, signing up online places your child in a lottery. You will be notified if given a sport and directed to pay.

OSP Spring 2017 Robotics 1.0 and Robotics 2.0 Workshop*

FXW is offering an introductory Robotics and continuing Robotics course this Spring. Using the LEGO® WeDo Robotics program, students will learn to build and program their own robots. Developed as an introduction to robotics, the LEGO® WeDo robotics system engages students in technology experiments that focus on science, mathematics, social studies and language concepts.

Robotics 1.0: Students will explore each component using icon-based programming software. They will write and download programs to LEGO® robots allowing them to manipulate the movements of their models. Students will then work together to create a short film starring their robots!

Robotics 2.0 Workshop*: Students will continue to build upon the skills developed in Robotics 1.0. This will be an advanced, inquiry-based class featuring new robots, Dot and Dash. As students tackle more complex programming challenges they will have opportunities to use problem solving skills to design their own robots!

These classes are intended for 2nd and 3rd grade students. Each program will consist of a 10 week session.

Robotics 1.0 will offer two classes this Spring. They will be held on Mondays from 3:00 – 4:00pm and 4:00 – 5:00pm. The cost for this program is $250
This class will run from January 23rd – April 10th (note: there will be NO class February 20th and March 13th)

Robotics 2.0 Workshop* will be held Wednesdays from 3:00 – 4:30pm. The cost for this program is $300

Boys’ and Girls’ Choir Winter/Spring 2017

FXW Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs are open to students in 2nd and 3rd grades and rehearse one day each week after school from 3:00 – 4:00pm at the Old St. Patrick’s Campus. The schedule is as follows:

The FXW Primary Girls’ Choir will rehearse on Tuesdays beginning January 24th – April 25th
The FXW Primary Boys’ Choir will rehearse on Wednesdays beginning January 25th – April 26th

There will be no choir rehearsal the week of April 16th due to Spring Break. There will be a culminating performance, but the date has not been confirmed as of yet. Full commitment is important as choir is a team activity, and all members are essential to the progress and success of the group.

The fee for the FXW primary choir is $150 for the Spring session if your child is not enrolled in the Extended Day Program.

Signup for both EDP students and otherwise will take place online. Non EDP students will pay upon registration. Deadline to sign up is Wednesday, December 14th. This deadline will be strictly adhered to in both choirs.
