HNC Extended Day Offerings
Baseball League
All 5th – 8th Grade Boys at the HNC Campus. League play for the teams begins the week of April 16th.
Track TeamAll 4th – 8th Grade Students at the HNC Campus. Practices begin Tuesday, March 20th and a mandatory parent meeting will immediately follow at 4:30pm.
Softball LeagueAll 6th – 8th Grade Girls at the HNC Campus. League play for 6th, 7th and 8th Grade teams begins on Monday, April 16th.
Band Lessons
This class is held by Chad Smith and will teach percussion and other instruments and help the student develop a love for a variety of different music styles and get them ready to play in a band.
- Friday 3:30pm –6:00pm (includes a 30 minute lesson on Wednesday from 3:30pm – 6:00pm)
- Fee: $300 (for the entire year/does not include instrument rental)
- Fee: $125 (for the fall session/does not include instrument rental)
Held by Dave Saenger, each 30 minute class will teach students rock, blues, jazz and classical music styles on the guitar. Please submit two options for your requested 30 minute time frame.
- Thursday 3:30pm – 6:30pm
- Fee: $300
Held by Bob Parlier, each 30 minute class will show students the basics of how you can be the best drummer, whether your favorite music is rock, hip-hop, jazz or even classical. Please submit two options for your requested 30 minute time frame.
- Tuesday 3:30pm – 6:00pm
- Fee: $300
This form of martial art emphasizes on the basic form of self-protection/self-defense. This class teaches discipline, strength and promotes self-confidence and self-respect.
- Wednesday 3:30pm – 4:30pm
- Fee: $130
This class will help with hand/eye/foot coordination and the student will learn the basic skills.
- Friday 4:30pm – 5:30pm
- Fee: $200
This class will focus on key steps in developing individual skill set, correct shooting form and techniques of the game.
- Friday 3:30pm – 4:30pm
- Fee: $100
This class will introduce the student to the hip-hop form of dance while helping to develop strength, grace, balance and poise. Also, this class will enhance confidence and teach teamwork through getting the student groovin’ to the latest cool moves by learning a high energy dance routine.
- Monday 4:30 – 5:30
- Fee: $80
This program is designed to teach one of the oldest board games which will help the student learn confidence, life skills, critical thinking, and a bit of history. The instructors are dressed in wizard costumes to make the class a bit more fun.
- Tuesday 3:30pm – 4:30pm
- Fee: $150
This class will help the student learn about nutrition, quick recipes with a holiday theme and healthy eating in a safe and friendly environment. Also, they will sample what they make.
- Friday 4:30pm – 5:30pm
- Fee: $160
This class will help bring out the students creativity. Two classes will be offered.
- For 4th and 5th graders, Improv Theatre Games
- Thursday 3:15pm – 4:30pm
- For 6th thru 8th graders, Advanced Improv Theatre Games
- Thursday 4:30pm – 5:45pm
