Diversity at FXW
The love of learning is the greatest discovery a child can make. The Frances Xavier Warde School works to appeal to our students’ natural curiousity and to inspire a passion for learning. This is how we prepare our students to become contributing citizens of our rapidly changing global community.
We challenge our students, from preschool to 8th grade, to enjoy learning and to recognize how beneficial their education is to themselves and those around them. Recognizing that knowledge is derived from a child’s environment, FXW fosters a campus setting that integrates our three core principles: Diversity, Education and Service.
At FXW, we believe in all children and honor the unique gifts of every student. Our faculty, staff and student body is ethnically, religiously and socioeconomically diverse so that our FXW community mirrors global diversity. We are dedicated to teaching and modeling Judeo-Christian values, as well as honoring and celebrating all faith traditions. Rooted in our Catholic tradition, we honor Scripture and Gospel values. Included in our purpose is the goal of offering a multicultural experience to our students. We partner with the City of Chicago to make use of the cultural opportunities that exist in our urban setting.
Our education programs explore the uniqueness of human differences for the betterment of humanity. We recognize and accept our responsibility to serve as participating members of the World Community. We strive to lay a foundation of human dignity for oneself and others.
