Parent Media and Technology Night
Thank you to all who came to our Parent Media and Technology Night to hear Dr. Devorah Heitner speak on Smart Kids/Smart Phones. Devorah gave a great presentation! For parents that contacted us because they were unable to attend, we will be sharing out information from her talk soon. Look to the Academic Technology blog for that information. And please plan to join us on Wednesday March 25th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. when FXW’s Academic Technology Coordinator and Psychologists will co-host a discussion on cyberbullying. We hope to see you there!
Replacement of iPad Cases and Chargers
We are noticing that many iPad cases are beginning to tear and fall apart, especially along the rubber casing that holds the iPad securely in place. Ripped cases increase the risk of iPad damage. When your student received their iPad, FXW provided the case, however, as stressed at Unbox Day in August, replacement cases are the responsibility of each family. Please look at your student’s case, and if it is showing signs of wear that no longer ensure that the iPad is protected, order a replacement case. The FXW iPad cases are the Higher Ground Podium and can be purchased through Amazon by following this link. These cases are currently around $40.00 before shipping. You may purchase this exact case from any other retailer as well. Families are also responsible for the replacement of charging cords and adapters. Please note, students must return their iPad in June with this exact iPad case and with a working Apple power cord and Apple power adapter.
Contact the IT Office if you have any questions. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
